Kinsa Smart Stick Thermometer: My Honest Review

Disclaimer: This post was not sponsored in any way. I bought this product on my own, with my own money. But, there are affiliate links in this post and if you decide to make a purchase then I will receive a small commission from the sale and there are no extra fees.

Since my daughter was diagnosed with complex febrile seizures I have found this amazing product that has made my life a lot easier. When you’re a mom or just a parent in general, you are always looking for ways to make your life easier. Especially if it’s something kid-related. My daughter can have a seizure anytime she’s sick so whenever I feel like she’s not acting like her happy self, or she feels a little warm, I’m sprinting to get the infant Tylenol and the thermometer so I can keep track of her temperatures.

How to Prepare Your Toddler for Preschool

My daughter just started preschool about a month ago and before she actually started, I don’t know who was more worried about it – her or me. Transitioning a child from home life to school life can be a difficult situation for both the child and the parent(s). Here are some tips that I’ve put together from my own experience to help other families have a smoother and hopefully easier transition from home to school.

Stocking Stuffers Your Little Girl Will Love

I always seem to have a hard time deciding what kinds of goodies to put in my daughter’s stocking for Christmas. So, I decided to start early this year and search around. Here are some cute, fun sized items that my daughter and I have found that we think will make great stocking stuffers! Please keep in mind that a lot of the things that we have picked out were from the interest of my daughter who just happens to be 3-years old but, most little girls seem to like the same types of things (i.e. Disney, princesses, girly things) so we think these would be perfect! Hope you like them too!

Why I Love Using DoTerra Essential Oils For My Family

Before I became a mom, I sadly but truthfully didn’t care about what I put into my body. I would take any kind of medication if it meant getting rid of my migraines. I never looked at any food labels for any nutrition facts. I never checked to see what kind of chemicals my body wash and toothpaste had in it. I even used icy hot for my back aches while I was pregnant with my daughter not knowing that it could’ve been harmful to my pregnancy.

After becoming a mom, I became aware to all of these things that I didn’t even know of and they could’ve been harmful to my body. Obviously, I didn’t want my baby to be exposed to these things. So I made some drastic changes to my lifestyle and starting to use essential oils was a big one.

It was really convenient that at the time I was pregnant, my boyfriend’s mom and sister began to use dōTERRA Essential Oils. I was in the beginning of my second trimester when I was first introduced into the world of essential oils and began to use them in my daily routine almost instantly. Keep reading below to see some of my favorites and what I use it for!

My Breastfeeding Journey: Why I Didn’t Give Up

As a young mom of 2 babies that were exclusively breastfed since birth, I can say that choosing to breastfeed both of my babies was the best decision I could’ve made. I am very thankful for having the opportunity to create that special bond with both of my children. I got so comfortable that I could just pop my boob into their mouth when they woke up crying at night and then we’d both go back to sleep. It wasn’t always this blissful, intimate moment that I loved. There were nights when I was in tears because I was in so much pain from my bleeding and cracked nipples and I still had to take care of a newborn that was waking up every few hours to eat. Sometimes, I would sit there and wonder why I was putting myself through all this pain and suffering. One look at my precious daughter and I was given the answer to my question. Breastfeeding was the best thing for her and breast milk is the best for your growing baby. Also for brain function, nutrition, etc. The bonus is cost, you don’t realize the hundreds and thousands of dollars you save not having to buy baby formula.

How to Potty Train in 2 Days – My Tips to Successful Potty Training

Changing my newborn’s diaper and my toddler’s diaper just wasn’t working out for me anymore. That’s when I decided it was time to start potty training my daughter. She just turned 2 and it took about two (messy) days. After all my hard work and being very consistent, as of today, she is a pro at going to the big girl potty and I couldn’t be more proud of her! The only time she might have an accident is when she’s sleeping (we haven’t quite mastered the night-time potty training yet) or if she’s having too much fun and she forgets. I have to keep reminding myself that it’s okay because with any learning process there’s going to be accidents. Potty training is a learning process for both you and your child. The main thing you need to remember is not to give up! Even if your child doesn’t become potty trained in two days like mine did, that’s okay. Every child is different and learns at their own pace. You need to find what works best for you. Here are a few tips and tricks that worked for us, and may or may not work for you.

Blog Intro

Hello to all of you beautiful mamas! ♥︎

For my first blog post ever I would like to say Aloha to all the beautiful mommies out there! I am a young mom of two and I wish I started to read blogs the day I became a mom because there’s a lot to be learned! I don’t want anyone to feel like I did. I felt very alone in the new parent world and found myself in quite a few situations where I really didn’t know what to do or, what I was doing. Eventually, over time I learned a lot and I would love to share my ongoing mom journey and experiences with all of you. I created this blog to spread the love I feel for my family and the confidence I have to share with you, my thoughts on mommy fashion; beauty from head to toe; my favorite mommy products; baby products; and much more. Also, I would like to give reviews on things that I absolutely love as well as hate. I will never promote anything that I don’t truly believe in. My opinions will be 100% honest. Since I have the opportunity to connect and share with other moms that are out there, I would love to take advantage of that. With everything said, I hope that my blog can help you to realize how beautiful and fun motherhood can be, no matter what age you are! And if you are a young expectant (or current) mother, don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do it, because you can! I can’t promise you that I’m going to change your life but, hopefully, you can pick up a few good things.
Goodbye, my friends. Until next time. ♥︎

Please feel free to leave me a comment below, I would love to meet you!
